| It was beautiful spring morning in the town of Tomoeda. There was a gentle breeze in the air and the birds were chirping. One could see cheery blossom petals dancing in the wind. People were out and about on this morning. It was the first day of classes for the students of Tomoeda.
At the home of the Kinomoto residence the teenage daughter Sakura was still asleep. A plush cat toy was standing on top of her stomach. He was shouting at her trying to get her to wake up.
"Sakura!!" He said. "Sakura!!!!!"
The girl rolled over causing the stuff cat to fall off her stomach. She flatted the poor thing and he was now stuck under her. The stuff cat held on to his single breath and then glowed a huge light. He was now a full sized lion. His transformation caused Sakura to wake up and she fell off his back on to the floor.
"Kero!!" Sakura shouted in anger. She sat up to face the lion.
"You're going to be late to school!" Kero replied back. He then turned back to his stuff cat form.
Sakura gave him a blank stare before realizing it was the first day of school. She quickly got up on her feet and started to get ready at once. Kero just sat there on the bed watching her. Once she got on her high school uniform and fixed her hair, Sakura bid Kero goodbye and rushed out the bedroom door. She ran down the steps and saw her father making breakfast.
"Good morning!" Sakura spoke to her father cheerfully. She sat down at the table and watched her father put the food in front of her.
"Morning," he spoke with a smile. "Excited for your first day of high school?"
His daughter nodded and started to eating her breakfast. She then swallowed her food. "I can't wait to meet all of my new teachers. I hope Tomoyo is my class."
Her father just smiled at her again.
Sakura then looked around the kitchen and spoke, "Where's Toya?"
"He doesn't have class until ten," Her father answered.
"I'm jealous," Sakura spoke and then took a bite of food. Her older brother Toya was a college student at the university of Tomoeda. After finishing her breakfast, Sakura put away her dishes and grabbed her already made lunch off the kitchen counter. "Thanks for lunch, dad. See you after school."
"Have a nice day," he replied back.
Sakura rushed out the door and headed straight to school. In the past she would ride her roller blades to get to school, but now she just walked. She was planning to buy a bike to get to school, but they have gotten too pricey. She walked along the path to school admiring the cheery blossoms. She was happy it was beautiful day. As she approached the school she ran past the elementary school building. She stopped and stared at it smiling. It was nice to see her old school again. The jr. high school building wasn't built next to the elementary school building like the high school building. She continued on walking and was greeted by her friend Tomoyo at the front gate.
"Morning!" Sakura greeted her friend cheerfully.
"Good Morning, Sakura." Tomoyo spoke with a smile. "You're a good mood today."
"Yep! I'm excited that we're finally in high school!"
"Same as well." The two friends began to walked toward the building. "Sakura, I have already looked at the class rosters. We're in same class together. Class A."
"Yay!!" Sakura shouted cheerfully and did a little twirl. She faced her friend and started to walk backwards. "I was worried we would be separated like we were last year."
Tomoyo just nodded her head. "Rika, Yamazaki, and Chiharu are in the same class as well."
"Yay!!" Sakura said again. "Anyone else?"
"An old friend," Tomoyo replied quietly.
"What?"
"Oh nothing!!" Her friend replied with a little grin. "Let's hurry before we're late."
Sakura just nodded and the two hurried to class.

| A warm breeze filtered through the window across from the teenage boy as his alarm chimed. His hand reached out, searching for the noise as he tried to remember where he had put the clock. Normally he'd already be up practicing his swordsmanship or martial arts, depending on the day, but the flight from Hong Kong had been brutally late at night and he didn't get much time to sleep.
Syaoran rubbed his eyes and sat up after his hand met the empty top of the table. The sound was coming from a few meters away on his dresser; the only place to plug in his clock. Shaking his head, he walked over to the dresser and turned off the alarm.
His eyes traveled to the nearby corner of the room where his luggage laid in the corner, still firmly packed up. Somewhere, in one of his suitcases, was the high school uniform he had gotten shipped to Hong Kong so he would have something to wear the first day. He could pick up more after school.
He smiled as he thought about the next hour and the small amount of time before homeroom. He hadn't told anyone he was coming back, hoping to surprise them. Tomoyo would probably notice as soon as she looked at the class roster, but he hoping she wouldn't tell the Sakura about his return. He wanted to surprise her.
With that thought in his mind, Syaoran worked quickly through his morning routine before digging into his suitcases. The uniform was not on top, but he found it with minimal trouble, dressed and headed to the dining room where breakfast was waiting.
"Good morning, Wei," Syaoran said as he sat down for breakfast. He still had a little bit of time before he had to leave since he rushed through the rest of the morning.
"Good Morning. Are you happy to be back in Japan?"
Syaoran nodded. "I wish I was able to come back sooner. It took a long time to convince Mother to let me return."
Wei nodded, "She was rather reluctant to let you leave Hong Kong."
They fell silent as they ate, and stayed silent when Syaoran finished and rinsed the plate. "I'm going to head out. Do you want me to pick up food for dinner?"
"No, don't worry about it. Have a good day."
"Alright. You too."
With that, Syaoran grabbed his school bag and left the apartment and headed out towards the high school. Familiar buildings and street names met his gaze as he walked. He could travel this path blindfolded for all the times he'd walked to the elementary school. Thankfully the schools were next to each other.
He arrived in the school yard before most of the students got there and headed to the roster board. His eyes traveled down the first list, Class A, and he smiled when he saw the names "Daidouji, Tomoyo" and "Kinomoto, Sakura". Now all he needed was... His heart fluttered as he found the L's. "Li, Syaoran".
Other students were starting to fill the courtyard, and Syaoran slipped into the high school before getting caught by any students he knew. He headed to the office to drop off his registration papers before heading to class. |

| Sakura and Tomoyo walk into the building and changed into their school shoes. They continue down a hallway and took the stairs to the second floor. Sakura and Tomoyo turned right down the hallway and made their way to the classroom. As they were walking they talked about the new school year.
"Are you going to try out for the cheerleading squad, Sakura?" Tomoyo asked.
"Of course!" Sakura replied cheerfully. "It's so much fun! Are you going to join the choir?"
"I think so. I might join another club if I find one that was interesting."
"Really? Maybe we can find one to join together?"
"That would be lovely."
"Yeah! I wonder if they have a cooking club. Maybe we can join that or maybe an arts and crafts club? Oh Tomoyo, I wonder if they have a sewing club!"
Her friend chuckled. "Trying to improve your skills?"
Sakura blushed slightly out of embarrassment. "I still prick my fingers with the needles."
"I'm sure they have a sewing club. If they don't I can teach you."
Sakura clapped her hands happily. " That would be great!"
"Speaking of sewing. I'm finally done with your birthday present, Sakura. I'll bring it over to your house sometime."
"How about you come over to my house tonight! My dad will be coming home late and Toya has a night class."
Her friend just smiled. "I think you'll be busy tonight, Sakura."
"What do you mean?" the young sorceresses asked in confusion. Her friend just laughed. "Tomoyo, tell me!"
"You'll find out soon enough."
"How mean!" Sakura began to walk backwards again to face her friend. "You always do this to me. Now please tell me!" Before she could say another word Sakura ram into the person behind her. Both of them then fall to the ground and Sakura landed on top of the person. "Ah!!!" Sakura sat up at once. "I'm soooooo sorry!!!" The person then sat up and looked at her. Sakura's eyes widen and tears filled her eyes. "Sayoran!!" She wanted to hug him, but she knew she couldn't because of school rules.
Tomoyo just stood there smiling. She wished she had her camera. |

| Syaoran's stared at the map as he walked to class. He had only been in the high school for school festivals and hadn't paid attention to room numbers at the time. Unfortunately, focusing on the map in a crowd full of students proved to be a bad idea.
WHAM!
Exhaustion from the night before caused his reflexes to fail him as he and the person that ran into him fell to the floor. He stifled a groan as a familiar voice apologized and, sitting up, his eyes met Sakura's.
Syaoran's face flushed beat red as he fully realized who he had bumped into. She was just as beautiful as he remembered. He stood, smiling and holding out his hand to help her up, "Hey, Sakura." |

| "...Hi..," Sakura spoke softly and took his hand. She blushed slightly as he help her stood up. She let go of his hand at once. Her heart was being fast. Before she could say anything else the school bell rang.
"Oh my," spoke Tomoyo. "Looks like this reunion has to wait homeroom is about to start." The three of them then headed into the homeroom.
For the first time Sakura was mad at the school bell. She wished they had a little bit longer. When they walked into the classroom, the seating chart was drawn up on the classroom. Sakura smiled when she saw that the three of them were sitting in the same positions back in elementary school. When they took their seats, the teacher came into the classroom and started roll call right away.
During the whole morning period Sakura didn't get a chance to talk Syaoran at all. In between classes they had breaks. Each time Sakura tried to talk to him, but Yamazaki or other old classmates kept talking to Syaoran. She was happy that his old friends wanted to catch up, but she was his girlfriend. Sakura just kept gazing at the clock above the chalkboard. She wished she could use the Time Card to seed up time to lunch period.
When the clock struck noon, it was finally lunch time. Sakura stood up and turned to face Syaoran. "Let's have lunch together!" |

| Syaoran held back a sigh of frustration when the school bell rang for homeroom. He really wanted a chance to talk to Sakura and catch up with what was going on around Tomoeda. He followed them to the classroom, his school map long gone in the crowd of students.
Breaks between classes accomplished nothing. There were too many people that wanted to catch up with him who seemed oblivious to his frustration. Yamazaki even approached him to tell him a story about the origin of pancakes that he was 90% sure was a lie, but he didn't want to ask to be sure. He'd look it up later.
Finally, the lunch bell rang and Sakura asked him about lunch before anyone else could make a move. Syaoran fought back another blush, certain that he cheeks were still a little red, while answering, "Alright. Let's find a spot outside."
They exited the school to find a spot in the courtyard, Tomoyo following a decent distance behind; unbeknownst to either of them. They found a more secluded bench near the edge of the courtyard and sat down to start their lunch.
"It's nice to be back here," Syaoran murmured more to himself than to Sakura as he opened his lunch box. "So, how have you been?" |

| Sakura was so happy that he said yes. She followed him outside to the courtyard. As they were walking Sakura was wondering what they should talk about. They haven't seen each other in person since the Hope Card incident. His mother was very strict about his social life. For the past four years they have been writing letters and occasionally talked on skype. When they found a bench, Sakura sat down at once. She opened up her lunch box and her eyes lit up. Her father packed her favorite lunch. Sakura then heard Syaoran trying to make conversation.
She smiled and inched closer to him. "I've been good. Now I know why you didn't answer my last letter. So how did you convince your mother to let you come back?" |

| Syaoran's heart fluttered as Sakura inched closer. Letters and occasional Skype chats were nothing compared to being right there next to her. He found himself inching a little closer as well, until their sides were just touching.
"Yeah, sorry about not answering. I really wanted to surprise you," he answered, his lunch all but ignored at this point.
He let out a small sigh as he thought about her question. "My mother wasn't too happy with letting me leave Hong Kong. I've been trying to persuade her since you sealed the Hope Card, but she really wanted me at home training. I'm not really sure what changed her mind. Maybe she just got tired of me bringing it up. She gave in a little over a month ago; almost too late to register for the beginning of the school year. However, she made it clear that I had to train or study every day and contact her regularly. I also need to come home, no questions asked, if something big happens within the family. She sent Wei along again to make sure I uphold those conditions."
Syaoran turned back to his lunch, finally taking a bite. His mother had also made it clear that he would return after he graduated, but that would be a few years. He was hoping to iron out that condition by diligently upholding the others. As much as he liked his hometown, he had more meaningful connections to more people in Japan, and getting away from the strict traditions of his family was refreshing. Of course, the girl next to him was his main motivation.
Still, it was strange his mother went to such great lengths to limit his connection with Sakura. While strict and often coming off as detached, she hadn't disliked Sakura when she met her in Hong Kong. In fact, she was probably more impressed with Sakura's performance than his poor performance. She had upped his training before he returned to Japan at that point. Plus, if his mother still wanted the cards in the family, it would benefit her to actually let him spend more time with Sakura and see where their relationship would go. |

| Sakura slightly frown and took a bite of her lunch. Many questions were flowing through her mind. Like why was his mother so strict? Did she hate her? The thought of his mother hating her bothered her the most. During these past four years Sakura often wondered if she offended his mother during her visit at his house. She would replay all of the conversations she had with Sayoran's mother through her head. Heck sometimes she would use the Return Card to watch them. She watched herself so carefully to see if she was being rude. Nothing. Sakura saw that she was very polite during her stay at his house. She took another bite of food and decided not ask Sayoran these questions. She will someday, but not today.
"Wei, came with you? It will be nice to see him again," She said trying to change the subject away from his mother. Sakura's mind then wondered at the thought of going over to Sayoran's house for dinner or to do homework. Speaking of dinner! Sakura's eyes lit up and she looked at him. "Sayoran, would you like to come over to my house for dinner tonight? It's just me tonight. Or...are you still unpacking?" She then realized he might be busy tonight. She had no idea when he moved back to Japan. |

| Thoughts of the pile of luggage in his room rushed through his mind as he briefly considered the dinner offer. There was a bit to unpack, but not so much that leaving until tomorrow would be terrible. Besides, Wei had told him he didn't need to worry about bringing food home. That either meant the man was going to buy and make dinner or get delivery tonight or that he knew Syaoran probably wouldn't make it home in time for dinner. Probably both.
Either way, he could text Wei real quick and tell him that he wouldn't be home until a little later, and the fact they'd be alone (other than the plush toy, he assumed) was way more appealing than the thought of going home and dealing with his luggage.
"Sure. Do you know what we're going to have?" |

| Sakura was beaming of joy when he said yes to her offer for dinner. She paused for a moment and thought about what they could have for dinner. She listed off the food that they had available in her head. The first few things she could think of could make Okonomiyaki.
"How about Okonomiyaki?" She offered. "I already have bunch of ingredients so I can make it just about any way you want." |

| "That sounds good," Syaoran replied. The warning bell rang before he could say anything else. They headed back to the classroom, again not noticing Tomoyo sneaking past them in the crowd of students.
The rest of the day went by slowly with Syaoran's attention split between the teacher and the thought of having dinner with Sakura. He fidgeted, remembering how awkward the last dinner they had had been. Back before Hope was sealed, and Sakura had yet to confess her feelings. What if this dinner was just as awkward? What were they going to talk about?
He took in a deep breath and exhaled a few times to calm his nerves. It would be fine. The only problem he would have would be Kero. Like usual. The time inched slowly by, closer and closer to the bell, and Syaoran smiled. Dinner would be great. |

| The final bell rang indicating that classes were officially over. Their teacher bid them farewell and a safe trip home. Some of the class A students got up from their desks and left at once while others linger talking to friends. Sakura stood up from her seat and placed her bookbag over her shoulders. She turned to face Syaoran. She gave him a smile.
"Ready?" She spoke. Sayoran just nodded his head and grabbed his school bag. Sakura then turned to face Tomoyo. "I'll see you tomorrow."
Tomoyo remained sitting at her desk. "Same as well. Oh, Sakura. Friday night I would like to swing by to your house and give you your birthday present." During whole the day she figured out when the prefect day to give her friend her gift. "Be sure to have Yue there." She whispered the last part.
Sakura just stood there blankly at her. "Why?"
"You'll see." She gave her friend a small mischievous smile.
"Okay....Bye." Sakura felt uneasy about this. She had a feeling that she'll end up being a star of some new movie.
Sakura and Syaoran then left school together. As they were walking to her house Sakura kept eyeing Syaoran's hands. They were finally alone and could do boyfriend and girlfriend things. She blushed at the thought of holding his hand. She took the plunge for it and grabbed it. Sakura then just smiled at him blushing. |

| Syaoran's heart skipped a beat as he felt her hand in his, and he nearly tripped in surprise before looking over to see her smiling at him. For what felt like the millionth time that day, his face turned a brilliant beat red. Trying to compose himself, he smiled back and they continued walking.
They made it to the house shortly after. The walk had been quiet; mostly enjoying each other's company rather than actual conversation. The only awkwardness had been that first moment when Sakura had grabbed his hand.
Syaoran looked up at the house as Sakura unlocked it and they entered. It looked the same as last time he had been there. |

| Kero was in the kitchen searching for a tasty snack. He heard the front door opened and hid behind a stack of newspapers that were sitting on the kitchen counter. Sakura's dad was the only person in the household that didn't know about Sakura's magical abilities. He listen carefully heard Sakura's voice and a male voice? It sounded familiar too.
In the living room Sakura and Syaoran were standing by the couch. "You can just have a seat and I'll bring out some tea." She then left him and hurried into the kitchen humming.
Kero heard Sakura coming into the kitchen and moved to a new spot fast. He flew off to hide under the kitchen table. He heard her humming as she was making tea. She usually hummed when she was a great mood. From Kero's spot he could see out into the living room. He saw Syaoran sitting on the couch. He gasped at the sight of him. The kid was back? Kero then heard the fridge door open and closed. He left his spot and approached Sakura.
She had her back turned as she was finding some cups for the tea. Kero stood on the counter and saw tray with a tea pot and two plates with pudding on it. His eyes lit up and he went to grabbed one of the plates, but he was smacked with a wooden spoon. Kero hit the counter with his face and he looked up. Sakura was standing there glaring at him.
He stood up and laugh nervously. " Master Sakura, welcome home...."
"Kero, I have a special guest over so please stay out of the way." She completely ignored his attempt at sweet talk.
"Special guest?" Kero laughed. "It's just the kid."
"Kero, please stop calling him that."
"A kid is a kid."
Sakura looked mad. "Kero, go to my room now!"
Kero shrugged and then took a huge bite out one of the puddings. That made Sakura really mad.
"That's it!!!" Sakura nearly yelled. She grabbed him and ran out of the kitchen holding him her hands. She then threw him up the stairs. "Now go to my room and stay there! No treats for you tonight!!"
Kero caught himself mid air and looked back at her. He just stick his tongue out at her and flew off to her room. Sakura compose herself before heading back to the kitchen. She hated arguing with Kero, but he was being a butt head. She grabbed the tray of tea and brought back into the living room.
"Sorry about that..." She spoke to Syaoran embarrassed as she placed the tray of tea on the table. She then pour him some tea and handed it to him. "Kero, took a bite of one of the puddings which will be mine." She pour herself some tea and sat down next to him. "He can be such a pain at times." |

| Syoaran heard rather than saw the argument, and shook his head as Sakura ran past and threw the plush toy up the stairs. It amazed him that anyone could deal with Kero for a few hours, let alone a daily basis. He had only ever seen the guardian beast being rude, demanding, and downright childish. Then again, the two of them never got along, so maybe Kero acted better when it was just him and Sakura.
Syaoran took a sip of tea as she sat down. "No need to apologize. I was kind of expecting it. It's not your fault he acts that way. In fact, it's probably good you're his master. I don't know anyone else who would be able to put up with him."
He took a bite of the uneaten pudding, feeling bad Sakura took the one with a scoop missing. |

| "He's not bad all the time. Kero can just be so childish sometimes," Sakura spoke then took a sip of her tea. " I was hoping with Yue around he would act more mature. But I guess he's just a kid at heart." She placed her tea cup down on the table and then took a bite of the pudding. It was very yummy! She loved it when her dad made sweets.
The two of them sat there enjoying their snack and tea. They chatted a little, but mostly sat in silence. They really just wanted to enjoy each other's company again. When Sakura, finished her tea she got a little closer to Syaoran. She was going to be a little dare devil and try to kiss him. They were home alone (excluding Kero ) after all so it was the prefect moment. She wondered if it was too soon then again they have been together for fours years. It was time to have their first kiss damn it! She got closer to him and was about to lean in for the kiss, but something appeared between them. Sakura jumped and moved away from Syaoran.
"Welcome home, master Sakura!!" It turned out to be the Hope card. She then floated above the table smiling at them.
"Hope.." Sakura still shocked from her appearing out of no where. "What are you doing here...?"
"Well you see, I awaken from my card because I heard yelling. I then saw Kero coming into the room and I asked him if you were home. He said yes and that were you downstairs. I asked if I could say hello and he answered yes again. But he failed to tell me you had a friend over..." Hope replied and look guilty for interrupting the moment. She then looked at Syaoran and it took her a second to remember him. "Oh, it's you! You're the one from the amusement park! Also I believe you're the one the master talks about all time."
Sakura turned red and stood up. "Ahhh, Hope can you please go back to your card? We can talk later."
"Of course!" Hope was about to leave, but Sakura stop her for a second.
'"Wait," she said. "When you see Kero, tell him he gets no sweets for a week."
"Gotcha!" Hope then disappeared.
Sakura faced Syaoran and laughed nervously. "Sorry about that. She likes to come out of her card. She loves to talk. Well, I'll go start dinner." She then left the living room and started to get dinner ready. She was planning to kill Kero, after Syaoran left. |

| Syaoran's heart beat faster as he noticed she was getting closer. And closer. His brain reeled as he realized what she was going to do, and he braced himself for the for the moment when their lips would touch.
They were almost together when he felt the brief sense of a Sakura Card and suddenly there was a girl with long hair between them. He jumped back in surprise the same time Sakura did and missed most of her words as he tried to calm his now surprised, racing heartbeat.
He had just regained his composure when she turned and mentioned how Sakura talked about him all the time. And his face was red again. He was more than sure that the blush remained when Sakura turned back to apologize.
"Do you need any help?" He asked as she was leaving the room. |

| Sakura was getting out the flour and cabbage when she heard, Syaoran's offer to help. She faced him and nodded. The two then started to prep dinner together. As they were cooking Sakura remember the last time he was over for dinner. She didn't confess her feelings for him yet which made everything awkward. She laughed under her breath when she remember that Kero interrupted them. Oh how things never change. Now she didn't feel as mad anymore.
Once dinner was ready, Sakura set the table and two sat down across from each other. They dug in and were enjoying the food. They chatted quite a bit and were enjoying the fact that Kero wasn't eating with them. Then suddenly they heard the front door open. Sakura froze when she heard it was her brother, when he announced his presence. She bit her lip in frustration. Will she ever get alone time with her boyfriend?
"Something smel...," her brother spoke when he entered the kitchen, but he stopped in mid sentence, when he saw his sister's boyfriend sitting across from her. "You." He then glared at him.
Sakura got up from her chair quickly. "Toya! Welcome home!" She then walked over to him and tried to push him out of the kitchen. "Why are you back so soon?"
"Class got out early since today was the first day," he replied holding onto the door frame so his sister couldn't kick him out.
Sakura frowned at him and kept on trying to get him out of the room, but she failed. Her brother pushed her aside and he went to grab a plate of food and then joined them for dinner. He sat down in Sakura's chair so he could directly at Syaoran. Sakura walked over to the table and sat on the other side of her brother. She gave Syaoron a look of apology.
The three of them ate the rest of dinner in complete silence. Toya kept giving Sakura's boyfriend death stares. He wasn't thrilled that his sister picked him to be her boyfriend. By the time they finished dinner it was almost seven thirty. Sakura was hoping Toya would go to his room, but he stuck around for the rest of the evening. When it was almost eight thirty, Syaoran decided it was time to head home. Both of them walked out to the front porch to say goodbye.
Sakura closed the door behind her and spoke, "I'm really sorry about tonight...." She looked down at the ground. She really wanted tonight to be prefect. Sakura felt like his surprised was ruined. |

| Syaoran placed a comforting hand on Sakura's shoulder. "Don't worry about it. It was really nice to have dinner with you, even though your brother showed up," he said, a soft smile on his face. He hated to see her sad over something she couldn't control.
The elementary school clock tower chimed in the distance as the last few minutes before 8:30 passed. He sighed, not wanting to leave yet. The image of the luggage still sitting unpacked in his room and the studying he needed to do before bed raced through his mind. "I have to go. I'll see you at school tomorrow."
Syaoran headed back to his apartment wishing he could have spent more time with Sakura. |

| Sakura gave him a weak smiled and said goodbye. She then went back into the house. Sakura walked by the living room and saw that her brother was watching TV. She just ignored him and went to her room. When Sakura got to her room, Kero was playing a video game on her TV. Sakura walked over to bed and sat down on it. She didn't say a word to Kero while she watched him play his game. Sakura eventually got up from her bed and changed into her PJs. She decided to call it a night and went straight to bed.
'Where am I?' Sakura thought to herself when she found herself in a narrow hallway. She walked down it looking to find an exit. There weren't doors on either side of the hallway. Sakura eventually came across one at the end of the hallway. It was cracked open and she saw candle light coming from it. She also heard voices. She opened the door and saw a tall teenage boy standing in front of eleven people.
'It was the only way!' He shouted angrily.
'That voice,' Sakura thought to herself. It sounded so familiar.
'You broke your deal with Clow!!' The boy shouted again.
Sakura gasped when he mentioned Clow. She ran forward toward the boy. She grabbed a hold of his shoulder and turned him around.......
Then everything went dark and there was a blaring noise.
Sakura sat up and found herself in her bed. The blaring noise was coming from her alarm clock. She turned around and grabbed it off her bed's shelf. Sakura turned it off and placed it down. She then got up and got ready for school. As she was getting ready she wondered where Kero was. He usually made sure she was up for school. She went over to her desk and pulled opened the bottom drawer. She saw him in his bed fast asleep. Sakura chuckled slightly. He must have stayed up all night playing his game. She closed the drawer and went back to get ready for school.
Once she was dressed, Sakura went downstairs and had breakfast with her dad. After she was finished eating, she grabbed her lunch off the kitchen counter and hurried off to school. As she was walking to school Sakura thought about her strange dream. That boy sounded so familiar and he knew Clow some how...
"I wondered," Sakura thought aloud. "If my dream was a foretelling dream.." She frowned at the thought of that. It has been a long time since her dreams predicted the future. She stopped walking and stared up at the trees. It had to be seeing how the boy brought up Clow. Sakura continued on walking and made it to her school in no time. She looked at the elementary school's clock tower and saw that she had plenty of time to get to homeroom. Sakura decided to stand at the gate to wait for Syaoran. As she waiting for him Sakura decided to keep her dream to herself. She didn't want anyone to worry about it especially Syaoran. |

| Syaoran's morning started a good hour earlier than the previous morning, giving him time to work through some martial arts warm-ups and practice some new forms. While he had basically mastered one style by the time Sakura had changed all the cards to Sakura Cards, his mother insisted he learn some of the other styles; each reflecting a different region of China. It was hard work, but he enjoyed his martial arts training just as much as he enjoyed learning new magic. He just wished all the training didn't take up so much time.
Finishing his forms, he got ready for school and had a quick breakfast. "Thanks for breakfast and for unpacking my luggage last night," he said as Wei sat down to join him.
The older man nodded with a smile on his face. "I'm glad you got to catch up with Miss Kinomoto last night. I know you were really excited about seeing her again."
A small blush flitted across his cheeks, and he took a bite of his breakfast unsure of what to answer.
"Should I expect you home for dinner?" Wei asked, gracefully changing the subject. Wei knew his inability to talk about his romantic feelings all too well.
Syaoran thought about it for a moment, "Probably... I'll let you know when I know for sure."
Syoaran finished and cleaned up his plate before grabbing his bag and his lunch. He still had a little time, but he liked getting there decently early. It beat rushing to make the school bell. "I'm going," he said, exiting the apartment.
He made it to school with plenty of time and was thinking about finding a place the courtyard to relax until homeroom when he saw Sakura standing at the gate. A small smile lit his face as he approached her. "Good morning," he said as he stopped in front of her. |

| A smiled appeared on Sakura's face when Syaoran greeted her. "Morning!!!" She then hugged him and held on to him for a moment. It felt great to be in his arms again. This would be a prefect moment to kiss him if there weren't people around. She let go him and smiling at him again. "Let's go." She then grabbed his hand and they walked toward the school building. Once inside, Sakura let go of his hand and walked over to her shoe locker. As she was changing her shoes Tomoyo greeted her.
"Morning, Sakura and Syaoran," she spoke with a smiled.
"Morning, Tomoyo!" Sakura replied very cheerfully.
"You're a good mood, Sakura."
"Yep!" When Sakura was done changing shoes something dawn on her." Oh!!! I forgot the cheerleading signs up where this morning! I better hurry! I'll see you two later!" Sakura then dashed off. Yesterday after Lunch, Chihiru told her about it. She forgotten about it because of her dream last night and last night's events.
Tomoyo just laughed as she watched her friend hurry off. She then look back at Syaoran. "She hasn't change bit." |

| Syoaran momentarily froze as she hugged him, his heart pounding and cheeks again turning red. He quickly pushed the nerves back down and returned the hug. His heart fluttered again, this time more elated that Sakura was in his arms than rapid beating of nervousness.
Unfortunately, the moment passed with Syaoran wishing they could have stayed that way just a little longer. The walk inside, with Sakura's hand wrapped around his, was still was just as nice though. Too bad they had to split to get to their shoe lockers.
"Good Morning, Tomoyo," he answered Tomoyo's greeting before turning to his locker, watching the girls converse out of the corner of his eye. He smiled. Sakura really was in a good mood this morning.
He turned back to them just as she was running off to sign up for cheerleading and watched her go. Turning to Tomoyo, he nodded. "She definitely hasn't changed. I was a surprise to see her here waiting for me, though," he said remembering how often Sakura was almost late in elementary school.
A thought suddenly raced through his mind, and he changed the subject before Tomoyo could answer. "Hey.. Can I ask you a question?" |
