So is a planning tread for for me and my friend Mai. We are doing a two person roleplay. 


So Mai for the roleplay. I think it should follow the anime because I like the idea of 52 cards even though some of the cards are dumb. So it can start out in high school. I say there should be a wizard council of sort. There should be a magic law of some kind, right? Sakura is called before them and put on trail? I have no idea where I am going with this..... Thoughts???

I agree with following the anime, since I haven't read all of the manga anyway.  Are we going with her dad being the half reincarnation of Clow like we were talking about the other night, or are we omitting it like the anime?

Magical law could be interesting.  For one thing, she let a bunch of destructive cards out into the world when she was younger (even though it was an accident).  She also let a non-magical person in on magic. Tomoyo isn't related to any magical families other than Sakura's and Sakura's family was not actively practicing magic until Sakura became a cardcaptor.  Then again, Eriol is no better.  He terrorized an entire town, almost killing multiple people to the point of putting them into a magic induced death sleep just so Sakura can transform the cards.  Those are only the most common offences I can think of when it comes to potential magical laws.

On another note, are we having Syaoran transfer into her high school or are we setting up a situation where he came back before the beginning of the rp?

Her dad can be the half reincarnation of Clow. I liked that bit from the manga and explains why Sakura and Toya have magical abilities. 

God, Sakura and Eriol belong in jail for life if that would be the case. XD I really do want to establish some kind of law because it will build the magical world.  

I say Syaoran's transfers.

Yeah, we definitely need a set of magical laws that we can apply to the events of CCS.  The only problem would be what the statute of limitations on their potential crimes.  The anime has Sakura as being 10-12 years old from the first season to the second movie.  Japanese high school students are 15-18 (Nifty Japanese School System Chart).  Hope is the last card she captured, so that would be 3 years before the council would decide to do anything.

Hmm...  That would depend on when Eriol became aware that Sakura was capturing cards.  Kaho Mizuki appeared in episode 25.  If we assume Eriol sent her, that means he didn't act until months after the cards were released.  Whether or not he was paying attention before then is the question.  Then again, you would hope he was paying attention...

On another note, that would explain how he would get away with his own crimes.  Eriol's a powerful sorcerer.  He's probably a nuisance to the council. XD

Yes!!! He probably just does what he wants. You can't touch me I'm the reincarnation of Clow!!

So how should we handle this? Sakura goes to trail and what? I was also of thinking bringing back Clare. Remember her?

lol.  Yeah, but he's probably subtle about it...  Other than his activities in Tomoeda.  

Well, we need to decide her exact crimes before we can decide how severely they want to sentence her.  How many laws do we want the council to have?

And yeah, I think I remember her. She was the one that created the cards we gave Syaoran back when we were kids, right?

Yes!! But we'll skip the card thing.

Of course.  There's no way to make a second set of cards not seem overused and cliche.  Besides, Syaoran doesn't really need cards.  He has other spells that work just as well.

So, is Clare part of the council or one of Clow's former enemies?

Well Clare was Clow's sister. Do you remember that? I was going to write a fanfic with her in it without her cards, but keep her guardian beast Crystal. I had that Clare wanted to show off her magical powers by making a magical beast, but Clow showed her off by making the Clow cards and two magical guardians. XD

Oh yeah.  I remember now.

So basically she's vain and wants to be better than everyone else.  Vanity seems to be a classic villain trait of ours.  XD

Of course! B/c those are the best kind of villains! Maybe she took over the high council and wants to throw Sakura in magic jail?

Ok.  That would give us more leniency in what Sakura's being convicted of.  

I'm guessing her aim is the cards, whether she wants to take them for herself or destroy them as well as Kero and Yue.  Then no one would be able to overshadow her.  Except Eriol...

So how many council members are there?  We can figure out how many are loyal to her and how many are just doing what she says so she doesn't kill them.

I say there's 12. Two can be on her side. Your avi is so cute!!!!

Maybe four rather than two.  She's powerful, but I feel like she'd still need a decent portion on her side.  Maybe she bribed them with power or something.  Also, is this 12 including her or twelve others besides her?

Well the plot itself. 

so far:
Setting: high school. I say they're 16 years old. 
Basic Plot: Clare tries to get her revenge on Clow by trying to sentence Sakura to jail.  

I was thinking maybe Clow sent a message of some kind to the council to let Sakura be and Eroil stood before them about his plans to have Sakura to change the cards under her powers. Then after that event Clare took over the council. 

I also want to Sakura and co to find Crystal and befriend her.

So, Clow made sure Sakura would be fine and left his reincarnation to take care of the rest.  Sounds good.  

Crystal should have been loyal to Clare back when Clow was still alive but slowly starts to realize she's a bad person.  By that point, Clow is dead and Kero and Yue are sealed with the cards in the book, so she has to stick with Clare until Sakura and them meet her.  Also, I still think she should end up hanging around with Syaoran since Sakura already has Kero and Yue.

Yes for sure! I love Crystal. I say she gets lost and finds him. She had no idea who he is since she's scatter brain.

Oooooo idea! Okay so for Sakura to clear her name she needs to do something which Clare tries to make her fail. Crystal can be her spy? Then realize that Sakura is a kind hearted person as she watches her interactions with Kero and Yue.

If you don't mind I would like to play as Crystal as well.

Also, you know how Eriol powered up Spinel when he was shooting a beam at Kero?  Clare should have similar control over how powerful Crystal can be (with the ability to make her weaker if she wanted).  It would make it harder for her to decide to betray Clare. I just want it to be harder than, "Oh, Sakura's a good person. I'm going to switch sides with no consequences."
